​Tallinn has become the Victory Day city

The Defence League is organizing the Victory Day parade on June 23 at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, where the historic armoured car „ Estonia“ will be shown on the 100th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Estonia and the Defence League. Units from all of the units and sections of the Defence League will be present as well.
The parade consists of 1500 participants. Members from all of the units and sections of the Defence League will be participating at the Song festival Grounds. In addition the Women’s Home Defence Section, the Young Eagles, the Young girls section, colour guards, the Cyber defence section as well as the Defence League schools will be out in company strengths. The Estonians units will also contain elements from the Police – and Border Guard as well as the Police assistance unit.
 
Foreign units on parade will include colour guards from Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, USA, Poland, Finland and Great Britain.
 
The Defence League Pärnu, Tallinn, Lääne and Jõgeva Section Orchestras, the Defence League bagpipe unit and the Defence Forces Orchestra will regulate the parade tempo.
 
The Victory Day events in Tallinn will start already on June 22 at 22:30 when the young eagles light the traditional ancient fire without help of matches or lighters at the Song festival grounds.
 
On the morning of June 23 at 8:30 a.m. wreaths will be placed at the War of Independence fallen memorial at the Defence Forces cemetery. At the same time the memorial torch and the traditional ancient torch will be united to become, the Victory Day torch as well as the torchbearers will receive Victory Day medals.
 
The Victory Day parade begins at 11:00 a.m. on June 23rd at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. After the parade at 12:00, the Land Defence Day will begin, where exhibitions of the Defence League, the Defence Forces, the Rescue Board and the Police and Border Guard can be seen. Re-enactment battles will also take place.
